Early development program is designed for children of 0-7 age group having developmental disorder, its risk or limited abilities, and is conducted in the frameworks of a state program.
Early development programme is provided in accordance with an internationally approved Early Childhood Intervention method which serves promotion of child development. Professionals conduct their work at home, at the center and in the kindergarten. Maximal increase of child’s engagement in relationships with family members and peers takes place, and an individual intervention plan is designed.
Any child with development disorder or at risk can join the program if they have problems in:
- Mental;
- Movement (fine and gross motor function);
- Speech;
- Behavioral;
- Social, and
- Communication fields.
Child development is evaluated by an internationally approved test – AEPS. Family members fill in a special questionnaire. Special needs of a family and a child identified based on its results are taken into consideration at designing an individual intervention plan. Parents/caregivers and professional specialists design the individual plan together.
Early development program can be carried out:
- At home;
- At the center;
- At the kindergarten.
Early development programme includes 8 visits, from which: children of 0-3 years old mainly receive at home, while for children of 3-7 years old it implies individual and/or group session at home, at the center or in the kindergarten (according to the child’s and family’s requirements).
